Jessica Greaux, born in New Jersey and now residing in California, comes from a family of artists (oils, acrylic, watercolor, pencil) and is a daughter of a professional oil/acrylic painter and an engineer. Along with her art and science genes, her passion for understanding how things work led to a love of cameras and alternative processes and printing. Both verse in film and digital photography, Jessica draws on her scientific background to bring out the nuances of Platinum Palladium printing, a technique that has been favored by art collectors all over the world.
Playing Div I soccer in college, Jessica continues to participate in various endurance activities such as mountain, gravel and road cycling as well as hiking our great National Parks. It’s not uncommon to find her with a camera while mountain biking single track in a forest or road cycling the Marin Headlands.
Jessica explores all subjects of photography, however she takes special interest in black and white of still life, abstract, and landscape. The love of black and white has her focusing on mostly printing in Platinum Palladium these days though you might find her taking on special projects printing on vellum with gold leaf gilding.
Her award winning work has been presented in galleries and art shows from coast to coast and has adorned business offices and private homes in the SF Bay Area.
Jessica not only prints for herself, she has printed for other photographers as well. Photographs in the gallery were taken by Jessica unless otherwise noted.
